Meet the lovely Kristy Miller, Founder & CEO of The Scented Market

Kristy Miller was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario. Her entrepreneurial spirit bursts through her two companies she has created and established in her community. A busy mom of three boys she has learned to find balance between family and businesses while still positively motivating her female community. Kristy
recognized a lack of healthy, beautiful soy wax candles in the industry and has created a business based on healthy products for the family and loves to teach about candle care and safety. She is also an advocated for self care and loves to take some time to sit back, relax and enjoy the candlelight.

The Scented Market was curated with the highest quality ingredients and the most eco friendly packaging. A classic mason jar candle with old fashion charm. They have a clean, minimalist style with a vintage inspired rustic lid.

The all natural soy wax is vegan friendly, renewable and sustainable. A pure white candle with warming scents.

Now The Scented Market has expanded to include room sprays, wax melts, oils, car fresheners and a brand new line of bath and body products with the same great candle scents!

Meet the fantastic duo, Monica & Maria, Owners and Artisans of Essential Elixirs

My name is Maria Blando, I’m a busy mother of two beautiful children. Five years ago I struggled with food allergies, skin irritations, headaches and inflammation in my body. I was sick of putting steroid creams on my skin and ingesting medicine with ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce. I realized they were only masking my issues. I turned to a naturopath for help. Along my journey Monica introduced me to essential oils. I became passionate about herbal remedies and natural medicine. My skin issues and inflammation were gone. My life changed completely and we knew we had to share it with everyone.

"My name is Monica Chan. I am a mother of a toddler and am one of the busiest people you will meet! I enjoy every minute of it. Because I am so busy, I need to know that every product I put in and on my family's bodies are safe and free of toxins, so I started doing a lot of 'dirty free' research. After months of research and trying different natural products, I found the easiest way to put natural ingredients on our bodies was to create our own. That is when Maria and I partnered together and started our small business. 

While both of us were loving and learning so much about essential oils, we started sharing and hosting classes for family and friends, where each person would make a natural product or two to take home.
After a few classes, we had many requests for products to be made for purchase. In 2017, Essential Elixirs was created.

We make small batches of our products, designed and made in-house with natural ingredients and therapeutic grade essential oils. Each batch is made with love, attention to quality control and detail.

We are both busy moms, so feeling confident about what we put in and on our family’s bodies is important to us and we hope that we can help make those decisions easier for you and your family too!"

My name is Jen Morgan. I have always loved art in one form or another and was just never able to create as working always took up my time. 

About 3 years ago I moved to Kamloops to be closer to my family and decided to make art my full time career. Crystals have always fascinated me and over the years I have seen the powers of healing crystals. Because of my love of crystals I have taught myself though youtube and pinterest how to create jewelry using the hardness of metal and the soft look of crystals. 

Every piece I create is a form of my art and is different.

I am Sarah, Owner and Creator of Wild Sister Herbs. Handcrafted bath soaks, essential oil blends and skincare, made in small batches in the beautiful Okanagan.  

I am a wife and a mama to two beautiful daughters. I have always felt a strong connection to Nature and I am very passionate about living an eco conscious lifestyle.  My intention with starting this business is to bring you closer to that connection with products that are natural, simple and from the earth.  My creations are made using locally grown herbs, 100 % pure essential oils and quality non toxic ingredients.

Hi, I’m Tristen! I’m the designer and creator behind Maiden Perras based out of Fernie, BC. 

I am a wife, a mom to two handsome boys, and a teacher by day, who makes jewelry at night. Being self-taught from a young age, I have worked hard to refine my craft over the years. My pieces are often inspired by nature and contrasted by geometric shapes. Known for my use of high quality gemstones and my brass work, I also love wire wrapping and metal stamping too. 

When not creating, you can find me vending a variety of handmade markets, snowboarding, playing guitar, tending to our hobby farm (we have chickens, goats, and lambs), camping, or enjoying the mountains with my family.
